Cambridge Innovation Capital

Cambridge Innovation Capital ("CIC") appointed Cadarn Capital in September 2026 to provide distribution and investor relations services for Fund III.

Fund III is CIC's latest early-stage venture fund focused on the Cambridge ecosystem, investing in deep tech and life sciences companies emerging from the University of Cambridge and the wider region. CIC is a European venture capital firm investing in life sciences and technology companies with an affiliation to Cambridge, targeting seed through Series A rounds and beyond to bridge the gap between academic research and commercialisation. 

Founded by the University of Cambridge in 2013, CIC serves as a preferred investor for university spinouts and early-stage ventures, giving it privileged access to the research and innovation pipeline of one of Europe's leading science and technology clusters. CIC currently has invested in more than 45 companies, supporting over 100 founders across its portfolio, making it one of the most active early-stage investors in the Cambridge ecosystem.
